Carrie Duvan has worked for several years in various capacities to build a well-known social media platform. Today she works as Chief Web Officer for an international agency network in NYC. Carrie is happily married and a mother. On a part-time basis she is committed to Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment. Carrie regularly publishes articles for well-known print and online magazines in Germany and abroad on social networks, video platforms and digital trends.
Maurus Eugster is Head of Finance and member of the Executive Board of Condor Films AG and its subsidiary FaroTV, the largest independent Swiss television production company. His articles at Filmpulse deal, among other things, with issues in the areas of film budget, film and video calculations, cost control, benchmarking, parameters, definitions of technical terms such as markup and other topics related to cost and risk control.
Before studying at the ZHdK in Zurich, Pascal Kohler was Production Coordinator at Condor Films and FaroTV for film and TV productions in Switzerland and Europe. Among other things, Pascal accompanied the shooting in Switzerland, Germany and Austria for the TV series “Rock the Classic” with Wigald Boning and is involved as a team member in the realisation of the TV series “Tierische Freunde” and “Tiergeschichten – unterwegs mit Monika und Filou”. At the same time he is gaining his first experiences as an ENG cameraman.
Marianne van der Kooi worked after years of apprenticeship at Condor Films AG and FaroTV today as a freelance production manager for film productions, advertising and television. Marianne’s experience includes various commissioned productions in the field of TV commercials, image films, product films, but also the production of light entertainment for TV and the production of content for digital and interactive platforms for agencies and direct clients from home and abroad.
Daniel D. Meister is a music composer and sound designer for commissioned compositions, film and TV. He grew up between two worlds: his parents’ great love for country music and his own fascination for electropop of the early 1980s. With his own compositions, Daniel tells stories of life as a singer-songwriter. He loves the soundtrack of Out of Africa as much as the sound carpets of Eric Serra and dreams of spending half a year in Kenya.
Before becoming head of the editorial department of Filmpulse, Carlo P. Olsson worked as a freelance producer in the DACH region for agencies, corporations and production companies producing moving image content. As line producer he regularly accompanies the production of films, videos and TV series. Before his career in film, Carlo worked as a project manager for interactive multimedia events throughout Europe, most recently in a leading position for a well-known concert and event organizer. In his spare time he plays ice hockey.
Even as a teenager Neil Raouf was annoyed that his music sounded different after a recording. This was the starting point to get involved with the technical side of audio production. At the University of Applied Sciences (Bsc in Multimedia Production) he realized how infinitely important good audio content is and how criminal it is often neglected. His credo is simple: “Whatever it is, it must (and can) sound great if you do it right”.
Under the heading “Filmpulse Team“, contributions appear which are jointly produced on a topic by several members of the editorial team. These include checklists, articles on basic topics, ultimate instructions on how to handle film or video formats and contributions on best practice for communication with moving images or, if of a general nature, the answering of reader questions in the Dr. Film section.
Volker Reimann is TrendScout for virtual reality, games and interactive moving images. He is convinced that realistic projections directly into the human brain will soon be possible via targeted nerve stimulation. Volker describes himself as a “digital optimist with the ability to ask even critical questions, which is necessary for a rational person”. In his spare time, Volker is an enthusiastic runner. After being unable to complete the Berlin Marathon due to a training injury, he is currently training for the New York Marathon.
Markus Röthl is managing director of the television production company FaroTV and member of the management board of Condor Films AG. Faro TV is jointly responsible for some of the biggest ratings hits on Swiss TV. The company develops and produces innovative entertainment content for TV, web, smartphones and tablets for direct customers and agencies. Under Markus’ operational management, multi-part TV series such as “Beobachter TV”, “Tierische Freunde” and “Liebes Krisen” have been created.
Philippa von Wittgenstein is an experienced production manager and producer for film and television. The trained business economist has worked for TV broadcasters in Italy and Germany, among others, and has gained experience in news and TV production. Her track record includes commissioned films, commercials, news and series for TV stations in Europe, but also the management of creative pitches on the side of production companies and digital formats at the intersection of video and web.
Kristian Widmer is a member of the Swiss Film Academy. He holds a doctorate in law and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen HSG and was for many years CEO of Condor Films AG, which was founded in 1947 and has been awarded an Academy Award™. Today he works as a digital opinion maker. Kristian is the initiator of “Filmpulse – the online magazine for filmmakers and video producers”. He is convinced that the active and competent exchange of knowledge and experience is vital for the film and video industry, which is driven by short-termism.
Zachery Zelluloid (ZZ) was active in the entertainment industry. The passionate golfer and hobby winemaker is an avowed door banger. For Filmpulse he reaches for the keys under a pseudonym in the “Insider” section. This is because he neither wants to violate his contractual obligations of confidentiality nor to promote the economic advancement of the legal profession. His real name is known to the editorial staff. ZZ writes primarily film reviews for Filmpulse.
