Postproduction is the image editing and sound processing that takes place after the shooting of a film or video. That is why postproduction is also called finishing. As a rule, image postproduction is divided into two phases: Phase 1 comprises the editing of the content and the editing of the picture up to the picture lock, during which the final editing version is approved by all participants. Phase 2 is followed by technical finishing, color grading, conversion and versioning.
